New Rennie building, Kingston University
The building is over 5 floors – ground to 4th surrounding a central atrium (to 1st floor). Construction is reinforced concrete, post tensioned slab with brick/glazed facade and is built generally with modular offices and teaching spaces around the atrium/lightwell at each floor. An access corridor runs around the atrium/lightwell at each floor and generally provides the main level services route. Services philosophy is mixed mode vent/cooling with natural vent via auto open windows, heating and cooling via active recessed chilled beams with GSHP.
